I have an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation and RHS Level 3 Horticulture Certificate.

A garden walkthrough, either in person or through a service such as Zoom will allow you to show Alison your garden, with areas you want to change or problems to tackle and allow you to discuss ideas. After this visit- usually one to two hours, you will receive a written report of our discussion, follow up suggestions and a maintenance guide for the areas.

I am RHS L3 qualified, with experience working in a range of gardens and conservation settings. This combination of experience and qualifications allows me to develop garden and planting designs that will thrive. I am happy to work with architects on larger projects or if a landscape design is required for planning conditions, integrating recommendations from ecologists a necessary.

This front garden bed had been cleared and the clients wanted a low maintenance year round planting scheme. After a plant palette was approved, a full design and costing were produced, plants were procured and planted up.

A very exciting blank canvas in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Complete with bats and a requirement for a full landscape design as a planning condition.
A full garden design and planting scheme was developed, in partnership with the scheme architect and ecological consultant. Clients and I are hoping to bring it to life next year. Watch this space!

This garden was designed and planted up almost five years ago but the owners were not feeling confident in maintaining it. I visited to make general recommendations then we arranged for a tuition session, focussed on pruning the shrubs to provide shape and better new growth.
